Recently I tried to gang up with a friend to clip coupons.  I don't eat Tyson or Hormel, so the coupons ended up as just a waste of time.

Locally, I found two co-ops.

Is a wheat and cattle farm that went organic in the 80's and ended up a co-op for natural and organic foods.  I buy all my grains and spices from them.  My drop is once a month in Buckley.  Shoot me an email for a contact #.

Is a fruit/veg co-op that you order online and p/u at Lake Tapps Elementary School, every Saturday at 8 am.  You order on Mondays after 12:00 pm until Tuesday evening.

It is $15 for two laundry baskets of fruits and vegetables.  For $10, you can make it organic.  They have different offerings each week including 5 loaves of orgainc 9 grain bread for $12, and cases of fruit.

It's BEAUTIFUL produce, and it's always fun to try new things in the baskets.  Whodathunk persimmons would be my new obsession.

Oh jeez,  I forgot to mention you can order feed through Azure Standard, and that their house brand flours are the same as Bob's Red Mill.

I'm really excited to try out the fruit/veg. co-op, but I'll be checking them all out!  Thanks for the information Trish.  I love being able to buy local.
